Electrical Apprenticeship Program
Program information
This is a 4 year (Years 1-4) electrical apprenticeship program and is recognized and accepted by the RI Department of Labor towards their post secondary electrical class hours per the RI apprenticeship standards, it is 100% self paced.
Student Requirements
- In order to enroll, you must be an electrical apprentice that has been hired by an electrical contractor and is, or in the process of being registered as an apprentice with the RI Department of labor
- Desktop or laptop computer with high-speed internet access
- Current NCCER Electrical textbook (Click here for levels 1 - 4)
- National Electrical Code (Click here for the printed and digital formats)
- Students must pass each class with a minimum grade of %70. Please Note that students can take all assignments and assessments as many times as needed to pass.
Students will receive
- A certificate of completion for 144 hours for each class they successfully complete
Why someone should take this class
This program provides a modern and convenient solution to today's apprenticeship requirements. The self paced nature of this program is flexible for today's busy schedule. An apprentice will not need to rush to make it to class on time after working all day to sit in a class (or zoom meeting) for another three hours. Unlike in person classes the student will be able to do all the work required on their own time and within their own space.

RI Fifteen-hour NEC Code Update
Program information
This is a fifteen-hour 2023 NEC in-person code update class which fulfills the Rhode Island requirements for licensing and is approved by the Rhode Island DLT.
Class information
- This class will take place over the course of two Saturdays
- Lunch and refreshments will be provided
- Students will need to bring their own 2023 code book
- This class will cover the changes to the 2023 NEC as well as new applicable RI energy codes
Students will receive
- A certificate of completion for 15 hours of 2023 NEC code update

Yes, you can purchase any of your materials from wherever you want.

Can a student take more than one level at a time?
Not in RI.

A coworker has the level NCCER textbook I need and is willing to let me use it. Do I still have to purchase a new one for the class?
No, You can get your text book from wherever you can.

Can a student take more than one class in a calendar year?
Not in RI

Can a student start work earlier than the scheduled class start date?
No.

Can I get a refund if I don't complete the class in time?
No, there are no refunds for failing to complete work in time. Students that did not complete all the modules of the class in the allotted time will.

Can I make payments?
- The class must be paid for in full before you will be registered for the class.
- A payment plan may possibly be arranged on an individual case by case basis and will need to be approved by the administration prior to the start of class. *Payment plans are not guaranteed to any individual and will solely be at the discretion of the administration.

Can a student continue any work after the class end date?
No.

Possibly, you will need to check with the licensing authority of the particular state.
